Circle A Tree

A few days ago, I saw a dog that didn’t look like any dog I’d seen before. Part German Shepherd, part “what on earth is this creature?”, part three-year-old’s drawing. Quirky. Strange. Adorably odd.

At the park, it ran circles around a tree, rubbing, looping, scratching, having the absolute time of its life.
And I thought: That dog doesn’t care if someone thinks it looks weird. It just circles its tree because it brings it joy.

So here’s your reminder

Circle your own tree!
Do the thing that lights you up,
even if it looks unusual,
even if someone might judge it,
even if it’s not “how it’s supposed to look.”

You’re allowed to be joyfully, uniquely you.
